A Weekend at Bradford's Cabin
June 20-22, 2003

9:15 a.m. The car's packed and we're ready to go!
Ten minutes into the 2.5 hour drive to Bradford's cabin, Lucas asks "Are we at the cabin yet?"

9:45 zzzzzzzz.......

Lucas, Dad, and Penny push off on a canoe excursion.

Abbie seems to like the relaxed pace.

With the water too cold for swimming, Lucas settles for waving the noodles around on terra firma.

"Chippy" gets one of many peanuts.

Lucas looks out at Battle Lake. Why he needs to do this on one foot is a mystery to us...

Dad referees a little sibling roughhousing.

"Look at this!"

An early morning out on the dock.

Bradford said this train set has entertained kids for 40+ years. Lucas sure liked it.

Lucas and Dad goof off.

Bradford and Lucas head off for a walk through the forest. (Brad's grandfather cleared parts of this forest many years ago.)

Lucas concentrates on pushing the hammock for Mommy...

But, it's more fun to be IN the hammock!

"There's a boat!"

Abbie attacks Daddy on the hammock.

Bradford gives Lucas a lift on another nature walk, this time at "Inspiration Point" several miles south of the cabin.

Abbie rides in the backpack up to Inspiration Point.
