Swimming is fun!

Abbie and friend practice 'big kicks' while the instructor helps the other student in their class.

Voluntarily putting her face in the water was a big challenge for Abbie.

Abbie makes friends with the puppets at the Children's Museum.

Throwing 'snowballs' at a tree was one of the actiivities in the 'Winter fun' exhibit.

Time for a little ice fishing!

Look what I caught, Mom!

Now it's time for a Japanese tea ceremony.

Yummy tea!

Abbie makes friends with the (plastic) fish in the stream.

It's never too early to start working on your stiltwalking skills.

We bought the kids ice skates this winter for the first time. Abbie struggled at first and decided just walking on the ice in her boots was enough. Lucas gets a hand from Chuck along the boards.

Thank goodness for helmets!

Later on Abbie decided she wanted to try the skates again.

Lucas takes a moment to get a hug from his friend Emilia Ann.

I lost a tooth!

Dinner at Kabul on State Street in Madison is one of our 'traditions' when we attend the 47th Annual Madfest juggling festival. The kids stayed home with Ben and Deb and Grandpa while Chuck and Lorinda took in a little juggling, a lot of eating, and some time with friends. (clockwise, from left: Lorinda, Penny, Tom, Jerry, Robin, Dan, Eric, and Bradford)

The morning 'tradition' is a fine breakfast at the Sunroom Cafe, before our departure back to the Twin Cities.
