Everybody's ready for a weekend trip to Denver to help Kelly move.

There they go! Chuck, Lucas and Ben head off for Denver in 24Yankee mid-morning. Abbie and Lorinda caught a Northwest flight later that afternoon.

Lucas and Abbie help the “firefighter” with the heavy fire hose at the Denver Children's Museum, where we spent Friday morning while Kelly was at work.

Part of the exhibit was a decommissioned fire truck, which the kids enjoyed exporing quite a bit.

Lorinda and Ben find their place at the museum.

Another exhibit provided tools and scrap materials for various construction projects. We had to pry Lucas away from this room when it was time to go!

Shopping time! Both kids enjoyed filling their baskets at the play store in the museum.

Abbie heads for the produce, while Lucas reaches to the back of the bin for a particularly choice bit of fruit.

Lucas checks out first.

Abbie checks the nutrition information before committing to the milk.

Abbie-mouse makes a nest with some other “friends.”

Another craft area (still at the museum) provided more opportunity for creativity during our visit.

Abbie draws a picture.

Two ants and an uncle.

She shoots...she scores!

Lucas sets up in three-point range.

In the “dance studio,” Abbie decided that twirling with the fluttery ribbon toy was pretty fun.

The boys check out the planes at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum (on the site of the former Lowry AFB).

Abbie gets to know a close friend of Aunt Elaine's.

Lucas shows off his reading ability to cousin Janice, Mommy, and Abbie.

After dinner the evening cooled off so we spent some time visiting on the patio at Aunt Elaine's.

On Father's Day, Chuck got some extra hugs from the kids before getting back to work setting up Kelly's new apartment.

Abbie was so tuckered out from the day our last day in Denver, she didn't even wake up when Chuck carried her + car seat into Janice's, where we went for a barbecue.

Ben and Lucas attempt to repair the transforming RC truck, to no avail.

Lucas is ready to head back to the Twin Cities.

Ben and Chuck took turns flying and keeping Lucas company. Here Lucas finds Ben's shoulder to be just what he needs for a nap.
