All set to go, our plane was delayed on departure from MSP. Lucas managed to finish his dot-to-dot book (which was supposed to last the entire trip) before we took off.

For the drive from Portland to Grants Pass, we set up Chuck's computer to play videos. Apparently this part of the movie is too loud or scary.

Abbie and Lucas go for a ride in Grandma and Grandpa Coffman's tire swing.

The swing was quite a hit during our stay.

The kids also enjoyed the pool and waterfall just outside Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Abbie gets a helping hand from Grandma at Sports Park in Grants Pass.

Climber boy didn't need any help!

More fun on the climbing equipment.

Lucas braves a balance beam with Grandma as spotter.

This black bear knows how to scratch when it itches! (Wildlife Images animal rehabilitation center, Merlin, OR)

Look at the big trees! (Never mind the big bears right behind you!)

Indian Mary Park seemed like a good place to let off some steam.

Only 4 and already Lucas is a tree hugger!

We're teaching Abbie to hug trees, too.

Grandma shows Lucas how to skip stones on the Rogue River at Indian Mary park.

Where there's a swing, there's bound to be a kid willing to swing in it.

Abbie shows Grandma how to put the dinosaur puzzle together.

Right before we left we took a stroll along Green Tree Loop. G & G sure live in a beautiful area.

Grandpa reads the Tiger book to Abbie, complete with sound effects.

Story time.

The kids mug for the camera while hanging out together at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
